Yes. For the health and safety of the USI community, all visitors will be required to observe campus safety requirements, including the wearing of masks in all public spaces, including while studying or researching in these open spaces.

The only time that users can be in Rice Library without a mask on is when they are alone in a private study area with the door closed. A mask must be worn when traveling to and from the room.

If you are making use of open study space or computers, printing or copying, picking up or returning items, you must wear a mask the entire time.

Users who are unable to wear a mask for extended times can access library resources remotely through our expansive online collections, article deliverycurbside pickup, and online assistance.
