A black-and-white printer, a color printer, and a copier are available on the first floor of Rice Library during the open building hours. A black-and-white printer is also available on each of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors.

Users should check-in at the Library Services Desk upon entry. Because the color and black-and-white printers are close together on the first floor, only one person can release print jobs there at a time. Users should remain aware of others in the area and maintain a safe distance. Waiting positions have also been marked at least 6 feet away on the floor.

Cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer are available at sanitation stations in the central stairway core. For the health and safety of the USI community, all users are required to wear a mask at all times while in public library areas, including the print and copy area.

Sending Print Jobs

USI students, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to send their print jobs to the Uniprint System from their personal devices prior to arriving at Rice Library.

Users that have not sent their print jobs to the Uniprint System ahead of arrival will be directed to a standing computer to bring up their document(s) and send to the printer. Users should not use this time or access to create documents or search. Access to computers for this type of work is available through the Computer and Study Room Access. After users have sent their documents to the system, they can then proceed to the printer or waiting line.
